SMUDGE: Eyeshadow Campaign

SMUDGE is a shade that isn’t meant to stay perfect. The campaign follows one blue eyeshadow through a night out: a touch-up in a cramped party bathroom, a friend’s fingertip on closed lids, a compact passed across a bar table between a glass of red and a martini. The makeup gets worn, shared and smudged, and that’s the point.

I built it as two worlds that meet. The first is raw, direct-flash nightlife photography with freckles, damp hair, orange lips and real mess. The second is quiet, sculptural product work: a pebble-shaped brushed steel compact, glittering pigment crushed and cracked in macro, and fingertips of different skin tones swiped in the same blue. A New Year’s poster ties it together in electric blue, part graphic grid and part handwritten scribble, so even the promo feels like it was done in a hurry before heading out.

A beauty campaign about the moment after the mirror, when makeup stops being a routine and becomes part of the night.
